Support to mirco ventures

Timely access to finance is a key component of inclusive growth. It is vital that entrepreneurs in rural and semi-urban areas across India have access to funds when they urgently require it.

CSO Partners has helped set up a social venture capital fund for the employees of ICICI Ventures, to provide credit to micro businesses that do not have easy access to finance.  CSO Partners strategised and designed the programme in such a way that it brought value to both the corporate entity and the community. more

Providing CSOs opportunity for direct interaction with experts - CSO Partners Workshop Series

NGOs need to understand opportunities and challenges in the present market environment to not only maintain their conventional role but also to influence changes in a proactive manner. CSO Partners and its 12 affiliate partners are organizing a series of workshops in six different cities to reach out to approximately 500 NGOs with a cascade of domain expertise. The primary objective of these workshops is to facilitate a common perspective of the context and to help NGOs identify challenges and opportunities. By participating in the workshops NGOs would have diagnostic interactions with different domain experts.

Creating such opportunities would help CSOs gain direct inputs in various areas of support. CSO Partners is organizing workshops in various metropolitan cities, providing CSOs in the region an opportunity to link up directly with CSO Partners’ network of expert service providers. It is anticipated that the inputs gained from these experts would help CSOs improve their operations and hence their effectiveness and efficiency. The first of such workshops took place on May 22, 2009 in Mumbai. The second one took place on September 14th and 15th, 2009 in Secunderabad.
