CSO Partners’ Outstanding Annual Report Awards for the Voluntary Sector : An Annual report is a key tool for ensuring transparency and accountability of any organisation. To recognize and promote quality in annual reports, CSO Partners has constituted “CSO Partners’ Outstanding Annual Report Awards” in association with Financial Management Service Foundation (www.fmsfindia.org), Credibility Alliance (www.credall.org.in) and Murray Culshaw Consulting (www.fundraising-india.org). While the first annual awards ceremony, for the financial year 2007 -08, was held on March 27, 2009 in New Delhi, the second one for the financial year 2008-09 took place in The India Habitat Center - New Delhi on March 6, 2010.

The second outstanding annual report award was in association with Financial Management Service Foundation (www.fmsfindia.org), Credibility Alliance (www.credall.org.in) and Spatial Access Advertising Consultancy (www.spatialaccesscommunications.com)

CSO Partners’ Outstanding Annual Report Awards seek to

  • Recognize and promote good standards and practices among nonprofit organisations in resource management, public distribution, accountability and transparency in annual reporting
  • Promote the overall credibility of the nonprofit sector for long-term sustainability
  • Encourage healthy debate in the areas of better reporting practices
  • Recognize and celebrate excellence in the nonprofit sector
  • Highlight examples and provide inspiration for other nonprofit organisations to follow higher standards as well as to promote cross-regional learning
  • Disseminate best practices gleaned from the winners to the entire voluntary sector
